.

The current championships benefiting from his technical management expertise include Formula Renault UK.
Since becoming a single-chassis formula in 2000, the single-seater series has produced two World Champions and McLaren driver Heikki Kovalainen, while 2008 F1 runner-up Felipe Massa was the 2000 Formula Renault Italy champion.

In the current era of multiple one-make single-seater championships, Formula Renault UK has an unmatched pedigree among national level series. Sporting and technical equity remain the foundation of the championship as it prepares for its 20th anniversary season, enhancing the competition to develop drivers’ skills to a very high level.

Räikkönen was the inaugural champion when the Formula Renault 2.0 car was introduced in 2000 as the sole car to be used in the UK series. Hamilton, after making his car racing debut in the 2001 Formula Renault UK Winter Series, finished third in 2002 before romping to the title in 2003.

Behind the scenes the foundations and principles needed to make one make racing successful, sustainable and profitable have been understood and deployed.

Allen also heads up all technical aspects for the well known and prestigious Elf Renault Clio Cup.
ELF Renault Clio Cup is the UK’s premier one-make saloon-car championship, with packed grids offering thrilling racing in support of the British Touring Car Championship. Two races are held at World Series by Renault, which drew a crowd of 110,000 in 2008, making it the best attended national saloon-car championship in the UK.

Full grids and wheel-to-wheel racing are the hallmark of the ELF Renault Clio Cup, which benefits from live coverage and highlights programming on the ITV network. Its popularity leads to extensive coverage in the UK motorsport media both in print and online. Drivers are able to gain press coverage in their local area thanks to the accessibility of exciting images and a clear relationship between the Clio Cup race car and Clio Renaultsport 197 road car.
